Bob Thaker is CEO for Sompo UK, which writes local and international P&C and Specialty business from its London, Birmingham and Manchester offices. Bob has spent his career in financial services in a range of roles through banking and insurance. Prior to joining Sompo in 2023, he led several successful insurance businesses in both in the UK and Asia which operated across commercial and personal lines, developing digital capabilities and multi-channel distribution models.

Louise Corrigan is Head of HR for Sompo UK, where she has been instrumental in shaping the company’s growth since joining in 2016. She played a pivotal role in the transition from Endurance to Sompo and has been central to building the London and UK regional platforms over the past nine years.

With more than 20 years of HR experience spanning multiple industries, Louise specialises in HR partnering, leadership, and organisational change. Prior to Sompo, she spent six years at AXIS, working across their Dublin and London offices.

Anna Fleming is Chief Operating Officer for Sompo UK, responsible for Underwriting Operations, Delegated Underwriting Operations, Change and Transformation, and Conduct. Prior to joining Sompo, she held COO roles at AXA Retail and the Motor Insurers’ Bureau, and has extensive claims experience, including serving as UK interim Chief Claims Officer at Zurich Insurance.

With deep expertise across transformation, IT, claims, sales and service operations, complaints, and risk management, Anna brings a broad and strategic perspective to her role. She is also a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, championing women in the insurance industry, and is a non-practising solicitor.

Adam Golding is Chief Financial Officer for Sompo UK and a member of the International Markets Leadership Team. He leads and directly manages the UK and Europe Finance teams, bringing over 25 years of strategic and financial expertise at Board level.

A qualified Chartered Accountant, having trained with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC), Adam has extensive experience across the insurance industry, spanning the London Market, Lloyd’s, reinsurance, and personal and commercial lines, both in the UK and overseas. He has a proven track record of financial leadership, strategic delivery, and supporting business growth across underwriting and broking.

Stef Green is Sompo’s Head of Client Management for the UK. She joined Sompo in October 2023 to build on its client management strategy. With 14 years of experience in the insurance industry, Stef started her career at Marsh and has held roles in client engagement at AIG and also as a risk manager at bp.

Ian Keegan was appointed Head of London Market Specialty and Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) for EWIL in January 2024. Mr Keegan has held pivotal leadership roles at Sompo, including Executive Vice President, Head of London Market & Specialty Product Leader for Global Markets.

Prior to joining Sompo, he spent nearly six years at Hiscox.

Allan Murley joined Sompo in December 2024 as UK Head of Distribution from AXA XL where he spent 12 years in various senior Distribution roles. Prior to that he was Head of Development Management at Zurich Global Corporate. As Head of Distribution Allan sits on the UK Exec team and is responsible driving the strategic development and expansion of Sompo’s broker relationships in order to accelerate profitable growth across the UK.

Brad O’Connor is Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Sompo UK, leading technology and change initiatives across the business. He has extensive experience in business transformation, including Target Operating Model (TOM) implementation, M&A integration, regulatory programs, outsourcing, automation, AI, and data-driven projects.

Brad has a proven track record of establishing new business units and markets, leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing large budgets, and building strong stakeholder partnerships. Recognised for translating strategy into measurable business outcomes, he brings a results-focused and innovative approach to driving operational excellence.

Mike Reid has worked in the insurance industry for more than 25 years, predominantly underwriting casualty business both in the UK and internationally. He joined Sompo in November 2021, initially to help establish a Casualty underwriting team for its Global Markets division. He now leads Sompo UK’s Property and Casualty business with a role that encompasses its core products across three key segments: Corporate, Middle Market and SME.

John Richards is Head of Financial Lines for Sompo UK, overseeing Cyber, Commercial D&O, Professional Indemnity and Financial Institutions. He joined Sompo in 2017 as Head of Financial Institutions and was promoted to his current role in 2022.

With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, John began his career on the AIG graduate programme in 2004 before moving to Zurich in 2008. In 2012, he joined Novae, where he was Deputy Unit Head of FI, building extensive expertise across financial lines underwriting.
