Sarah Stanford is CEO for Sompo UK, which writes local and international P&C and Specialty business from its London, Birmingham and Manchester offices. Prior to joining Sompo in 2026, she was Aspen’s UK CEO from 2024 after serving as the Active Underwriter of Syndicate 4711. Sarah has more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, joining Aspen in 2007 as part of its financial lines team having previously worked in underwriting positions at Limit MJ Harrington Syndicate 2000/QBE.

Paul Bradbrook is Chief Financial Officer, UK. Having previously served as Chief Financial, UK for Aspen Insurance Group. Mr Bradbrook has more than 25 years of experience across global (re)insurance providing board-level oversight and partnering with underwriting and senior leadership to support commercial decision-making. He previously held senior roles at AXA XL, including Global Controller and Chief Accounting and Reporting Officer, and has also served as Chief Accounting Officer at R&Q Insurance Holdings and Controller for Continental Europe at Marsh McLennan Companies.

Andrew Dyer is Chief Risk Officer, UK. Having previously held the same role for Aspen UK. Mr Dyer has more than two decades of technical experience in risk management, governance and oversight for insurance businesses and has held senior roles at regulatory authorities.

Anna Fleming is Chief Operating Officer for Sompo UK, responsible for Underwriting Operations, Delegated Underwriting Operations, Change and Transformation, and Conduct. Prior to joining Sompo, she held COO roles at AXA Retail and the Motor Insurers’ Bureau, and has extensive claims experience, including serving as UK interim Chief Claims Officer at Zurich Insurance.

With deep expertise across transformation, IT, claims, sales and service operations, complaints, and risk management, Anna brings a broad and strategic perspective to her role. She is also a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, championing women in the insurance industry. Anna was formerly a solicitor in private practice.

Stef Green is Head of Client Engagement, UK, Sompo, appointed in October 2023. She is responsible for leading the client management strategy and overseeing key partner relationships. Ms Green has 16 years of experience in the insurance industry, with expertise in client engagement and risk management. She began her career at Marsh and has held roles at AIG and BP.

Ian Keegan was appointed Head of Specialty, UK and CUO EWIL, Interim Head of Commercial  in April 2026. Mr Keegan has held pivotal leadership roles at Sompo, including Executive Vice President, Head of London Market & Specialty Product Leader for Global Markets.

Prior to joining Sompo, he spent nearly six years at Hiscox.

Mike Kemble was appointed Chief of Staff, UK in April 2026. Focusing on strengthening relationships across the UK leadership team and within the market, shape priorities and support effective decision-making. Previously, Mr Kemble has held senior positions within financial lines at Aspen, AIG and QBE.

Kirsty Middleton is General Counsel, UK and International. She has over 30 years of legal experience and has held senior positions at AIG, Willis Towers Watson and QBE. Ms Middleton has extensive experience managing legal issues across Europe and emerging markets.

Allan Murley joined Sompo in December 2024 as UK Head of Distribution from AXA XL where he spent 12 years in various senior Distribution roles. Prior to that he was Head of Development Management at Zurich Global Corporate. As Head of Distribution Allan sits on the UK Exec team and is responsible driving the strategic development and expansion of Sompo’s broker relationships in order to accelerate profitable growth across the UK.

Brad O’Connor is Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Sompo UK, leading technology and change initiatives across the business. He has extensive experience in business transformation, including Target Operating Model (TOM) implementation, M&A integration, regulatory programs, outsourcing, automation, AI, and data-driven projects.

Brad has a proven track record of establishing new business units and markets, leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing large budgets, and building strong stakeholder partnerships. Recognised for translating strategy into measurable business outcomes, he brings a results-focused and innovative approach to driving operational excellence.

Dan Osman serves as the Active Underwriter for Syndicate 4711 and Chief Underwriting Officer AIUK. He has held senior positions at Aspen Insurance Group, bringing substantial expertise in specialty insurance. Before entering the insurance sector, Mr. Osman held leadership roles within credit banking institutions.

Kevin Powell was appointed Chief Actuary, UK in April 2026. With over 25 years in the insurance sector, he has held key leadership positions at companies such as Aspen Insurance Group, AXA XL, and QBE. Throughout his career, Mr. Powell has gained comprehensive experience across all areas of actuarial practice, along with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements in numerous regions.

John Richards is Head of Financial Lines for Sompo UK, overseeing Cyber, Commercial D&O, Professional Indemnity and Financial Institutions. He joined Sompo in 2017 as Head of Financial Institutions and was promoted to his current role in 2022.

With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, John began his career on the AIG graduate programme in 2004 before moving to Zurich in 2008. In 2012, he joined Novae, where he was Deputy Unit Head of FI, building extensive expertise across financial lines underwriting.

Claire Smith is Head of HR, UK at Sompo. Mrs Smith is a seasoned HR professional who has over 20 years of experience across financial services and insurance, with a proven track record and expertise in organisational change, talent strategy, and advising senior leadership teams. Prior to joining Sompo, she held a global HR leadership role at Aspen, where she oversaw the SMCR regime as SMF7, served on the UK Executive Committee, and led the global HR Business Partner team. Mrs Smith holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Tim Taylor was appointed Head of Claims, EWIL in 2026, having previously served as Head of London Insurance Claims.  Prior to joining Sompo in 2015, Mr Taylor held several executive claim handling roles at Chubb and started his career as a lawyer specialising in insurance.
