Alessa Quane

Alessa Quane joined Sompo in September 2025 as CEO, International Markets where she is responsible for managing and overseeing Sompo’s Commercial and Consumer Insurance operations outside of North America and Japan.

Ms Quane has more than 30 years of insurance industry experience having lived and worked in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and France. Starting her career as an actuary she has worked closely with all lines of business across global portfolios in a variety of roles including global Corporate Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer roles.

Most recently Ms Quane was Chief Insurance Officer at US healthcare insurer Oscar Health and was an Independent Director on the board of AXA XL Bermuda, Ltd.
