Daniel Englberger

Daniel Englberger was appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Sompo in July of 2023. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Englberger was at Zurich Insurance Group where he held various global, senior executive positions including the roles of Chief Operating Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Information Technology Officer, Chief Transformation Officer and as a director of several subsidiary companies. Prior to Zurich, he spent over 10 years with Accenture in various consulting, project management and senior manager positions. During his career, he has worked extensively in Germany including Frankfurt, Cologne and Munich in addition to Zurich, Switzerland. Mr. Englberger holds a degree in mechanical engineering and business as well as a PhD in economics, both from the University of Kaiserslautern in Germany.
