David Camputo

David Camputo was appointed Group Chief Audit Executive in August 2024, having served as Chief Audit Executive for Sompo, with global responsibility for the company’s Internal Audit function for the past 15 years. As Group Chief Audit Executive, he oversees the Internal Audit Department globally for Sompo Group, ensuring that our operations, financial processes, and internal controls are effective, efficient and compliant with applicable laws and regulations across the company. Prior to joining the company in 2006, Mr. Camputo held several senior-level internal audit positions including Head of Internal Audit for Primus Guaranty and Vice President and Director of Internal Audit at XL Capital Ltd. He has over 30 years of internal audit experience in both the insurance and reinsurance industry and is a graduate of Iona College with a degree in Finance.
