I started working in the insurance industry in 2015 in compliance, initially in the claims department. Two years later, I moved into underwriting, with a focus renewable energy. I joined Sompo’s energy team in June 2022 to support the growth of the renewables book. It was a fantastic time to join; the company is on a rapid growth trajectory but sets itself apart from so many firms that are looking to outsource operations by investing heavily in its people. Sompo has a really strong culture and the relationships between teams are collaborative and cohesive.
