Fahri Ugur

Fahri Uğur was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Sompo Turkey in January 2023 and has served as an Executive Board Member since March 2020. Prior to his current role, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Sompo Turkey from June 2015 to 2023 and served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Retail Platform, at Sompo Holdings Ltd. from January 2020 to January 2023.

Mr. Uğur has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors of Turkey’s insurance industry. Before joining Sompo Turkey, he spent nearly a decade at Turkey’s insurance regulatory authority and later served as Chief Underwriting Officer at one of the country’s leading insurance companies.

Mr. Uğur holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Hacettepe University and an MBA from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
