Haixia Zhao

Haixia Zhao is President of APAC Reinsurance and Chief Underwriting Officer, Global Specialty. She previously served as Chief Underwriting Officer for Continental Europe, Singapore and the UK-Non-Casualty Reinsurance lines of business in addition to her other responsibilities as SVP, Chief Pricing Actuary, International P&C and Specialty Reinsurance. With over 20 years reinsurance experience, her expertise spans pricing/underwriting, reserving, modeling and risk management. Prior to joining the company in May 2018, she held various senior level positions with other leading insurers. Ms. Zhao earned a BS in Statistics and a BA in Journalism from Renmin University of China. She is a Fellow Actuary with the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Certified Catastrophe Risk Analyst from RMS.
