Margaret (“Maggie”) Hyland joined Sompo in 2019 and was appointed President, North America Reinsurance in April 2023, having previously served as Executive Vice President, Head of North American Professional Liability Reinsurance. With over 30 years of industry experience in the North American (re)insurance industry, she has held leadership positions with various with other leading global re(in)surance organizations. Ms. Hyland holds an MBA from the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University and a BA in Literature and Speech from St. John’s University.
