Pierre Balthazard was appointed Head of Asia Pacific Reinsurance and Deputy Chief Executive of the Singapore Branch in November 2020. Prior to this, he was the Head of Asia Pacific Catastrophe Property Underwriting since 2016. Before joining the company, Mr. Balthazard held various senior actuarial positions in Asia with regional responsibilities for pricing, reserving and risk management during his nearly 20 years within the industry. He holds a Master’s degree in Actuarial Sciences and is a Qualified Actuary of the Institut Des Actuaires in France.
