Meet Brittany Lannan, Vice President – Sompo Pro LPL
Please tell us about your career journey and your path to Sompo.
I started my insurance journey during college. I interned at QBE in the financial reporting department and was hired full time after graduation. I stayed at QBE for 6 years, developing my love for data and spreadsheets, and left to join the underwriting side of insurance. I was fortunate to land a position in 2014 within the growing Lawyers’ Professional Liability department at Endurance under Stuart Pattison and John Muller.
What advice do you have for prospective Sompo candidates?
Keep an open mind, look at everything as a learning opportunity, and put yourself out there; get to know everyone you possibly can. Simply put: ask questions, be eager to learn, get curious and meet people!
Tell us about an initiative at Sompo that you are most excited for in 2022.
I’m most excited about the collaboration and innovation that has been unfolding. It’s been amazing to see the growth this company has achieved over the past 10 years and I’m excited to see what’s to come.
What is your idea of a perfect day outside of the office?
With my recent move from Manhattan to San Francisco, my idea of a perfect day outside of the office has changed a lot. Now, a perfect day would be a sunny, warm day, taking a drive up the coast to Tomales Bay, and grabbing some barbequed oysters outside on the water with friends.
