COLOGNE, Germany – December 1, 2023 – Sompo today announced that Christian Kruppa has joined as Head of Distribution & Client Relationship Management, Insurance, for Germany and Austria. He is based in Cologne and reports into Malte Dittmann, Country Manager, Insurance, Germany and Austria.
Mr. Dittmann said, “As Sompo continues to develop its offering in Germany and Austria, a priority is investing in building strong and lasting broker partnerships in the region. With more than 20 years of insurance industry experience, Christian’s broad network and strong relationships will be critical as we continue building our presence in these important markets.”
Mr. Kruppa joins from Chubb, where he spent a decade in management roles, most recently as Director Broker & Client Management for Germany and Austria. Prior to that, he held account management and underwriting positions with Allianz and AXA Corporate Solutions.
