Mark Silverstein joined Sompo as Chief Investment Officer in August 2005 and is responsible for management of the company’s investment portfolio. Mr. Silverstein has more than 30 years of professional experience in investments, with a focus on fixed income securities, including managing U.S. and global core fixed income portfolios for reinsurance and insurance companies, pension funds, endowments and mutual funds. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from Cornell University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago. Mr. Silverstein serves on the Board of Trustees of the Greenwich Roundtable and is Chairman of their Education Committee. He has contributed to Best Practices in Alternative Investing: Portfolio Construction (2009), Alternative Investing: Managing Complexity (2011) and Alternative Investing: Avoiding Mistakes (2012).
