MADRID, Spain – 12 April 2023 – Sompo, a leading global provider of commercial and consumer Property and Casualty (re)insurance, has announced the appointment of Jamie Cañellas as Country Manager of its insurance operations in Spain and Portugal. With over 30 years of industry experience, Mr. Cañellas joined Sompo in 2018 and most recently held the role of Head of Distribution for Europe. He is based in Barcelona and reports to Ralph Brand, President Continental Europe Insurance.
